Pareidolia is the human tendency to perceive meaning out of randomness, something out of nothing.
This series began with spontaneous ink splatters, pigment puddles, crinkled paper and torn edges; It ended with shapes, objects, beings, and worlds.
Next Project
Process
I began this series by splattering paint, ink, and watercolor ground (in an absolutely spontaneous, terrifyingly messy manner) on bristol. Of the 6 messy blobs I got, I chose 3 to render digitally.
I used Clip Studio Paint to illustrate whatever scenery and figures I could "see" from the blobs. The idea was to create order from chaos
